The question on everyone’s lips….
We chose to launch our events in Cavan because there is a need…
Our mission is simple: to inject some energy and excitement into the social scene for young people aged 21-40.
Over the last few years, emigration has skyrocketed across Ireland. While cities like Dublin and Galway can bounce back, rural towns like Cavan feel the impact much more —especially when it comes to keeping younger generations connected and engaged.
That’s where MIXR comes in. We’re building a lineup of unique, social-first events designed to create real opportunities for people to meet, connect, and have fun in places like Cavan.
Events like these might be a dime a dozen in Dublin, but our recent survey shows there’s a big demand right here in Cavan—and we’re excited to get the ball rolling...

Before launch we created a survey to help us understand our audience & to figure out whether there was appetite for events such as ours in Cavan:
By Sharing it across socials our survey gained huge momentum & we managed to collect feedback from over 250 people!

We asked participants were they based in Cavan as we wanted to ensure we were getting feedback from people actually living here at the moment!
WHAT ARE GROUP ARE YOU IN?
Knowing what age group our audience is in is really important for us to make sure we’re creating the right events!
DO YOU PLAY ANY TEAM SPORTS?
We felt this was such an important question to ask for a number of reasons but mainly because Cavan is a very sports focused county, between football & camogie it seemed like everyone was involved with a team but us!
This questions was to help us figure out if there were others not involved in a team sport that wanted to try socialise in other ways!
